The Closing Check Most Owners Completely Forget

Everyone remembers to check fridge temperatures at opening. Almost nobody checks them at closing.

A fridge that is 4.8 °C at 5 pm can creep to 11 °C overnight if the seal is failing or it was over-packed. You walk in at 6 am to ruined stock and an instant 20-point deduction waiting to happen.

Add one extra check to the closing routine: “Final fridge & freezer temperatures” with a hard rule — nothing above 5 °C, nothing below -18 °C.

Takes 30 seconds. Catches 90 % of overnight disasters before they happen. The cafés that added this one check almost never have emergency call-outs any more.
